At Kokum's Outreach, we believe that every individual is a gift, deeply meaningful to their community. We recognize that the health and well-being of each person is a shared responsibility, rooted in the support of those around them. By fostering strong relationships, upholding integrity, and delivering skilled services, our "family" continues to grow—instilling pride, connectedness, and self-worth in every individual.

Our mission is to empower individuals and families to discover their unique gifts and capabilities through compassionate and knowledgeable intervention. Kokum’s Outreach is honored to be a member of Indigenous Tourism Alberta (ITA) and Indigenous Tourism Canada (ITAC). Since 2019, our Wellness Camps have provided a safe, nurturing space for growth and healing. We are also proud to be accredited by the Canadian Accreditation Council (CAC).

Our Services

Kokum's Outreach offers a wide range of services designed to nurture emotional, spiritual, physical, and mental growth. Our wellness camps are available for individuals or groups and can range from day-long to week-long experiences.

In addition to camps, we also provide:

  • Community Wellness Programming

  • Addiction Outreach Programming

  • A Drive Program​

 

Workshops & Activities

​

We offer a variety of workshops, such as:

  • Drum and rattle making

  • Grief and loss counseling

  • Cycles of abuse education

  • Positive parenting and healthy relationship building

  • Anger management

  • Historical trauma healing

  • Addiction awareness and relapse prevention​

 

We also provide alternative healing practices like Reiki, yoga, meditation, chakra massages, and mediumship. Other activities include craft nights, karaoke, healing through painting, medicine walks, and traditional Indigenous teachings like land-based learning, dry meat making, fish smoking, storytelling, Cree language lessons, hand games, and

Pow Wow dance style demonstrations. 

Our wellness camps are alcohol- and drug-free and are open to everyone, welcoming all who seek healing and personal growth in a supportive, inclusive environment.
