MISSION

Kokum's Outreach believes that  “All individuals are a gift, meaningful in their communities and the responsibilities of ensuring the health and well-being of individuals belong to those within their community. Through relationships, integrity, and skilled service delivery, their  “family”  will continue to grow, and individuals will be instilled with a sense of pride, connectedness and self-worth.

VISION

Kokum’s Outreach provides opportunities for Emotional, Spiritual, Physical, and Mental growth with day, weekend or week long wellness camps for an Individual or Groups.

Kokum’s Outreach occasionally offers; 

Community Wellness Programming,

Addiction Outreach Programming & A Drive Program.

FOCUS

At Kokums Outreach, our focus is to create a supportive and inclusive space where individuals can embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth.

Along with accommodations and catered meals, the camp offers various programming opportunities, created around supporting a person's mental and spiritual health.

What services does Kokum’s Outreach provide?

Kokum's Outreach offers a wide range of services designed to nurture emotional, spiritual, physical, and mental growth. Our wellness camps are available for individuals or groups and can range from day-long to week-long experiences.

In addition to camps, we also provide:

  • Community Wellness Programming

  • Addiction Outreach Programming

  • A Drive Program​

 

Workshops & Activities

We offer a variety of workshops, such as:

  • Drum and rattle making

  • Grief and loss counseling

  • Cycles of abuse education

  • Positive parenting and healthy relationship building

  • Anger management

  • Historical trauma healing

  • Addiction awareness and relapse prevention​

 

We also provide alternative healing practices like Reiki, yoga, meditation, chakra massages, and mediumship. Other activities include craft nights, karaoke, healing through painting, medicine walks, and traditional Indigenous teachings like land-based learning, dry meat making, fish smoking, storytelling, Cree language lessons, hand games, and

Pow Wow dance style demonstrations. 

Kokum's Outreach welcomes all who seek personal growth in a supportive, inclusive environment.
